Imphal, November 15 2015: The 40 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) celebrated Ningol Chakouba festival at Singjamei post on November 13.Over 30 women of Singjamei Chinga Nupi Lup clad in traditional attire with their children attended the event.

The celebration will created platform for increasing mutual trust and confidence between the Assam Rifles personnel and civil populations.

The ladies who attended the celebration were served with lunch and were also presented gifts.

The kind of a sustained cooperation and bonhomie with the natives will go a long way in establishing peace and tranquility in the State by wearing away the people from the nefarious designs of the Militants Groups.
