Imphal, November 12 2015: As part of the security measures taken up by Imphal east district police ahead of Manipur Sangai Festival, a team of district police carried out a search operation at Haokip Veng under Porompat police station and detained three persons for further verification today morning.

The operation was conducted under the supervision of Imphal east commando DSP Robinson and Imphal east commando 2nd OC Vaiphei.

During the operation, all the men and women whose age is between 15 to 50 years were called out from their respective houses for verification.

Three persons who could not produce proper identity proof documents were taken to Porompat police station for further investigation.
