Imphal, June 06, 2014: Along with conducting a tree plantation drive, Institute for Educational Promotion, Wangkhei Pukhri Mapal organized a painting competition for its students on the theme 'Environment Awareness' at its premises here today.

The programme was attended by M Homeshwor Singh, Director of Directorate of Environment and K Ibohal, president of Institute for Educational Promotion as Chief Guest and President respectively.

Speaking on the occasion, K Ibohal stated that the tree plantation drive cum painting competition was conducted with the objective to educate the students about the global warming which is now the main concern of all people.

He said that it is necessary to make the students know about the role played by environment in human life and the indispensable relation between human-environment.
