Imphal, October 04 2015: As part of the Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Shija Breast and Thyroid Clinic, Shija Hospital organized an awareness programme on breast cancer in association with Medical Officer In-charge, Community Health Centre, Nambol at the conference hall of the centre on Saturday.

Dr Ajit Lukram, Consultant Shija Breast and Thyroid Clinic, Shija Hospital delivered a lecture on breast cancer - its early detection, self examination, diagnosis, stages, types and treatment in the programme.

The programme was attended by medical officers, nurses and staff of the CHC, Nambol including the ASHA workers.

The programme was followed by a free consultation and screening of breast and thyroid.

Altogether 40 patients were screened during the camp.
