MODIfied NE India flays Ukl firing incident

MODIfied Northeast India has strongly condemned the ugly incident of August 30 where 2 civilians lost their lives and more than 17 injured due to police firing during a peace rally at Ukhrul town.
In this regard, the Social Initiative has submitted a memorandum to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to intervene the State Government in bringing an amicable solution to the one month long Ukhrul mayhem.
Informing the Central Government, the Initiative highlighted, "Ukhrul District is burning for the past one month, normal lives affected due to imposition of CrPC 144 in the town, State Government deployed additional security forces in the name of curbing anti-social elements.
State Government is making the town a colonised place with Army flag march.
Harassment of common people in the name of bringing peace is an insult to Our Constitution" .
The unfortunate incident on August 30 where police fired at the rallyists, killing 2 civilians and injuring more than seventeen need Central intervention.
Ukhrul District is in mayhem now, the Initiative said in its memorandum, while sharing the grief with family members of the deceased, Ramkashing Vashi (29) S/O (L) Christopher Vashi and Mayopam Ramror (32) S/O (L) Hangyui Ramror, both from Teinem Village.
The initiative has also appealed to all Civil societies and leaders not to colour the incident with communal card.
