Imphal, September 28 2012: Staff of Khumbong Primary Health Centre today staged a sit-in against the huge monetary demand made on the PHC.

Based on information gathered by the police following the arrest of a cadre of an underground outfit on September 26, it has been learnt that the particular UG group was targetting to make monetary demand to the health centre.

The staff also revealed that a gang group had earlier intimidated the MO of the centre through SMS.

Since then, the health centre has been guarded by security forces.

They urged all concerned not to threaten the staff and not to demand money from them.
