Imphal, October 22 2012: On the occasion of Bor festival, thousands of devotees from different parts of the State flocked to the temple of Hiyangthang Lairembi located at Hiyangthang under Imphal West district on Monday.

Around 500 police personnel were deployed in and around the temple to ensure protection of the devotees.

However, the number of devotees flocking to the temple to worship the goddess is comparatively lesser than previous year, said a member of the temple committee.
