Imphal, January 19 2014 : A cleanliness drive was jointly organized by Workers' Union Manipur and authorities of Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) in and around the hospital complex today.

In connection with the drive, N Romi, general secretary of Workers' Union Manipur said that due to dumping of waste materials in and around the hospital, various diseases could be spread so it is very necessary to maintain cleanliness and hygienic condition in the hospital.

He informed that the union will be conducting cleanliness drive in the hospital once in a month and appealed to the people who come to the hospital to use the dust bins kept at different parts instead of dumping around.
