AMSU to mark 'Meekap Thokpa Numit'

Imphal, April 16 2015 : All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) is all set to mark the 35th "Meekap Thokpa Numit" (Realisation Day) on Friday (April 17) to remember union's members Huidrom Loken and Potsangbam Premananda who were killed by police during the "Go Back Foreigner" movement of 1980. The anniversary observance will start at 2:30 am with a morning awakening song at the memorial complex of the late students at Pishum Chingamathak.

Students from various schools and colleges and leaders from different civil society organizations will pay floral tributes at the memorial complex at 9:30 am.
