MSPDCL warns against power theft

Imphal, December 15 2017:
Under the Electricity Act, 2003, theft of energy/unauthorised tapping
of electricity/by-passing of meters are liable to punishment with imprisonment for a term which may extend up to three years or with a fine or both, said a statement from the Manipur State Power Distribution Company Limited .
The MSPDCL is also starting a disconnection drive and raids to prevent these illegal usage from Dec 18, the statement mentioned.
