Delhi Police Special Unit for NE people opened

Imphal, September 05 2014 : Delhi Police has started a 24/7 Special Police Unit at Nanakpura in Delhi for redressing the grievances of people from North East living in the National capital region, informed IGP Robin Hibu, IPS, Nodal Officer for North East People Delhi Police.

The address of the Unit is Joint Commissioner of Police for Crime Against Women and Children Office, Near Post Office, Behind Gurudwara, Nanakpura, New Delhi -21(Office landline and fax number - 011-24104568) .

Saying 21 police officials from NE states have been posted, a statement of IGP Robin Sahu pointed out that Delhi Police already has separate Helpline for North East people '1093' being manned by 9 NE police officials.
