Imphal, October 31 2012: Dept.

of History, Manipur University would be organizing a Two-Day National Seminar on 'Contemporary Northeast India: Issues, Challenges & Prospects' in the Conference Hall of the History at the New Social Science Building of the varsity from November 6 to 7 .

The inaugural function of the seminar would be attended by Vice Chancellor of Manipur University Prof HNK Sarma as Chief Guest; Head of Department of History, Manipur University Prof M Jitendra Singh as President and Director of ICSSR, New Delhi Dr KL Khera and Dean of School of Social Sciences, Manipur University Prof Amar Yumnam as Guests of Honour.

The welcome address would be delivered by Prof Lal Dena while Dr H Sudhirkumar Singh would be introducing the seminar.
