Jiribam, August 30 2014 : A three days Awareness and sensitization programme of Panchayat functionaries has begun from today and will continue upto September 1, 2014 at the meeting hall of PWD guest house, Jiribam.

The programme was jointly organized by the Manipur State Panchayat Parishad (MSPP), Porompat and Block Panchayat Parishad, Jiribam CD Block.

The first day of the awareness programme was attended by president, Manipur State Panchayat Parishad Itobi Singh and Pradhan of Dibong gram Panchayat P Mani Singh; Pradhan of Lathingkhal Gram Panchayat Routhang Hmar; Pradhan Hilghat Gram Panchayat Bina Devi as the president and guest of honours respectively.

During the programme the resource persons delivered their speech on the functions of each organ of Panchayati Raj as well as the works allotted under the NRGS scheme.
