JAC calls off stir temporarily

Imphal, December 28 2013 : The Joint Administrative Council (JAC) of All Manipur Trade Unions Council (AMTUC) and All Manipur Government Employees Organization (AMGEO) has temporarily called off its proposed cease work strike from January 6, 2014 following an assurance given by the Chief Secretary of the State during a meeting held this morning with representatives of the JAC and Pensioners' Union.

During the meeting, the Chief Secretary appealed to the representatives to lift their cease work strike and assured that most of the demands made by the JAC will be met in next meeting to be held between the representatives of the JAC and Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) .
