Imphal, September 28 2012: The proscribed RPF/PLA clarified that one Atom Bungo alias Lanmei (33) s/o A Kumar of Bashikhong Kitna Pannung and presently residing at Langol Zone II, Meitei Langol, who was arrested by a combined team of Imphal West commandos and 30AR from Pheidinga Bazar on September 26, is a retired cadre of the outfit.

A statement issued by the chief of department of publicity of RPF, Taohangsu Heiremcha clarified that Atom Bungo was once a cadre of the outfit's 39th BMT and held the rank of lance corporal.

He retired from the party due to poor health condition since June 13, 2008, the statement added.
