One should respect one's religion: Dr Meinya

Imphal, May 21 2015 : In a democracy, a child can adopt a religion different from his or her parents expressed Dr T Meinya, Member of Parliament in a function held on Thursday at the Press Club, Majorkhul.

He further expressed that everyone should respect one's religion.

Dr T Meinya was attending the second foundation day of Kangla Khundokyai Apul Luplel.

Bidyapati Senjam General Secretary of MPCC, Wangkhemcha Syamjai, president AMWJU, Soubam Nilkamal president KAKHAL, Irengbam Lukhoi, Sukham Maruti, Ibohal Elangbam of KAKHAL attended the function as dignitary members.

Maichou memorial awards were given away to eight persons in connection to the program.

Soubam Nilkamal expressed unhappiness over miscreants taking away idol from Heingangching while appealing the people to collectively work for revival.
