Imphal, April 16 2015 : One of the security escort personnel of former DGP of Manipur Police committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle at Uripok Naoremthong in Imphal West this morning.

Laita Raloireng Aimon (30), resident of Pallel in Chandel district, killed himself with an AK-56 rifle issued to him around 11:30 am.

The incident happened inside his room on the first floor of the building belonging to former DGP Y Joykumar.

on leave for some days, when the incident occurred.
