Imphal, August 07 2015 : Irate locals of Kongba Keithel damaged a Tata DI truck which was carrying goods after an altercation with the persons travelling in the truck.

When some locals reportedly asked the two individuals what they were doing in the market area, a heated argument ensued.

The truck (MN 01K 7868) alongwith the loaded goods were extensively damaged.

A large number of police personnel rushed to the spot to disperse the mob which tried to burn the truck.

The truck was taken to Irilbung police station by the police personnel while an occupant of the vehicle was taken to Porompat police station to prevent any untoward incident.
