Imphal, August 04 2015: The Kasom Khullen Village Authority has sounded alerted all the people of the area and instructed the youths to keep vigil round the clock.

This announcement was made by the village authority yesterday after more cracks developed on the surface of earth.

The situation is very critical, according to the village authority.

A similar incident happened in the year 2002.Several cracks were found within the village and several other places.

On account of the cracks, three dwelling houses have collapsed while 32 other houses, a community hall, a VA office, and a youth club office have been partially damaged.

Moreover, private paddy fields, farms, etc.

were swept away by landslide.

The villagers' fear is growing worse as the crack line is becoming more prominent.

The villagers have appealed to the Government for deputing an expert team to assess the situation at the earliest.
