Fashion parade to expose talents of Nupi Manbis

Imphal, September 03 2014: An ethical fashion parade with focus on contributions made by the Nupi Manbi Nupa community of Manipur will be held at Bheigyachandra Open Air Theatre here on October 18 .

This was announced by Manipur based beautician Rava Khangembam accompanied by Oinam Kenedy and Santa Khurai during a press meet at Manipur Press club here today.

Lamenting that the social activities of the effeminate males have not been recognized in the state, they said that they must be given the opportunity to expose their hidden talents.

They would seek financial assistance from the government after exposing their capacity and talents in various fields, stated the beautician while announcing that the proposed fashion parade will be based on social issues of the state.

Saying that new designers will also be encouraged, he asserted that efforts would be made to contribute to the productivity and economy of the state.
