MEPWAK decries rape

Imphal, January 02 2014: The Meira Paibi Welfare Association Kangleipak (MEPWAK) has condemned in the strongest term the rape of a minor girl by one Sandham Bhogen Singh (33) s/o S Bheigya of Sairemkhul on December 3 last by taking her inside his house.

In a statement, the MEPWAK urged the IO of the case to file charge sheet against the accused at the earliest and punish him in accordance to the law of the land.

The Association has also warned of launching intense agitation in collaboration with civil social organizations of the State if justice is not done to the minor rape victim.
