Imphal, July 31 2019: The Rashtriya Janhit Sangharsh Party (RJSP) has demanded a ban on use of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) .

A press release issued by the National Secretary of Rashtriya Janhit Sangharsh Party (RJSP), North East in charge, Hijam Rajendra Singh, today alleged that the EVM is against the democratic process and mandate and claimed that EVM, being an electronic device, is susceptible to being preprogrammed, tampering or hacking.

Stating that RJSP, other political parties, NGOs and CSOs support the movement, it demanded a complete ban of EVM.

Informing that protests have been regularly carried out at Jantar Mantar since June 13, it conveyed that a mass rally will be organised on August 11 .
