Imphal, June 30 2015 : Former editor of monthly Manipuri journal Kangla Lanpung, RK Sanatomba was fondly remembered on his death anniversary at a function organized by RK Sanatomba Memorial Trust at Konung Hijanga Thangapat in Imphal East on Tuesday.

RK Sanatomba Memorial Journalist Award 2015 was conferred to People's Chronicle's sub-editor Phanjoubam Chingkhei on the occasion.

The award carries Rs 20,000 in cash and a certificate.

Prof Rajendra Kshetri delivered a lecture on the topic "Media and Contemporary Manipuri Society" at the RK Sanatomba memorial lecture held as part of the event.

Th Iboyaima, who is considered as 'Father of Social Work' in the State and Prof Gangmumei Kamei were also present on the occasion.
