Imphal, August 30 2014 : Sessions Court Bishnupur today convicted K Ibomcha Meitei s/o K Gambhir of Napat Awang Leikai under Section 302 of IPC in the brutal murder case of Moirangthem Mohon Meitei of the same locality.

The Court fixed September 3 as the date of sentence hearing of the case.

It may be mentioned that beheaded Mohon's body was recovered from the eastern side of Imphal river bed at Napat Awang Leikai and his head from a paddy field of Napat Mayai Leikai on July 27, 2005 .

Ibomcha brutally stabbed Mohon 12 times with a machete before he cut off his head.
