Imphal, June 29 2012: Jiri Branch of Federation of Regional Indigenous Societies (FREINDS) has pressed the Government of Manipur for re-introduction of Inner Line Permit System to check the influx of outsiders into Manipur which has started giving serious impact not only on the demographic but also on the socio-economic condition of the state.

The Branch hoped that the issue would be taken up for discussion in the ongoing Assembly so as to pave way for re-introduction of the restrictive regime in the interest of indigenous people.
