Imphal, June 28 2016: A combined team of Imphal East district police and 6 Assam Rifles arrested two PREPAK cadres along with a 9 mm pistol loaded with seven live rounds and a demand note during a frisking drive at Uchekon Takhok Mapal yesterday. The duo were stopped for checking as they were seen coming in a Maruti Zen car in a suspicious manner, said a source. On searching the car one 9 mm pistol loaded with seven live rounds and four number mobile phones were recovered. They have been identified Kongkham Romesh (44) s/o Kameshor of Keishampat Kangabam Leikai and Md Amir Khan (31) s/o (L) Md Helaluddin of Lilong Tairen Makhong. They revealed that they are the cadres of PREPAK and working under the command of one Moramba, who is pres- ently staying in Myanmar.
