Imphal, November 25 2018: The Sumo wrestling event which provided a unique flavour to the Visitors for the first time during the Sangai Festival has concluded today.

Salai Holdings Pvt Ltd and Manipur Tourism Department gave life to the event which was held at the Indoor Stadium of the Khuman Lampak Sports Complex, Imphal.

Sumo wrestlers from Japan were brought in for the event.

Myanmar Sagaing Region Chief Minister Dr Myint Naing, Sagaing Social Welfare Minister Dr Zaw, Minister of Development Myint Kyi and Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker Yumnam Khemchand attended the closing event as presidium members.

Fashion parade, Thang-Ta, Mukna, Khullang eshei and Maring war dance and Sumo wrestling at the end marked the closing ceremony.

The Sumo event started from Nov 22 .
