Imphal, June 25 2013: Troops of Red Shield Division have recovered two unexploded Improvised Explosive Devices from near Permanent Vehicle Check Point of Beheng on 21 June.

According to a PIB Defence Wing release, the Improvised Explosive Devices were recovered approximately 25 meters away from Permanent Vehicle Check Post in the bushes during the routine search and sanitisation of the area.

The Army bomb disposal team destroyed both the Remote Controlled Improvised Explosive Devices at 5.50 PM.

Timely detection of Improvised Explosive Devices by the Security Forces saved civilian lives as three houses were in close proximity of the recovery site, the released added.
