UMO demands punishment

Imphal, June 23 2013: Decrying the rape of a teen girl after being abducted from Universal College campus, United Muslim Organisation (UMO) has demanded the authorities concerned to find out the culprits and give then befitting punishment.

In a statement, Secretary of UMO, Md Basir Ahamed has also appealed to all for ensuring such incidents are not repeated in future.

It also condemned the action of the police during a public rally taken out at Yairipok Bazaar on 21st June in connection with the rape incident.
