AMESTA urges to revoke order

Imphal, October 20 2016:
Denouncing the downgrading of 1786 teachers on September 6 this year, the All Manipur Elementary School Teachers' Association (AMESTA) has today urged the Government to revoke the order and regularise the said teachers as per the previous order of the Director Education (S) .
In a statement, the association said that Government schools from the level of elementary upto the higher secondary in the State have been paralysed since the day (October 19), the downgraded teachers refrained from their duties and carried out sit-in-protest at Khoyathong.
