Imphal, July 18 2014 : The Senapati District Transport Operators Co-operative Society Ltd has in a press release demanded the competent Authority of the Government of Manipur to grant a full-fledged District Transport Officer, Senapati with all empowerment of a District Transport Officer in the District Headquarter at the earliest.

Senapati being a district headquarters, all Government departments are stationed in Senapati headquarters but still denied of a full-fledged District Transport Officer, Senapati, whereas sub-division of Kangpokpi has a full-fledged District Transport Officer, the release mentioned and continued that this is indeed a humiliation and deprivation to the public of Senapati Headquarter, it said.

The Senapati District Transport Operators Co-operative Society Ltd also demanded that the District Headquarter be allotted a separate head account and registration code for the District Headquarter, it added.
