Imphal, July 17 2015 : Chief of Army Staff General Dalbir Singh made a one-day visit to Eastern Command, during which he visited Dimapur and Sukna.

According to a press release issued by PIB Defence Wing, during his visit, the Army Chief emphasized on the need to maintain constant vigil along the borders.

He also directed that all operations in the hinterland must be people friendly and troops must be sensitized to uphold human rights and operate within the rules of engagement.
