Imphal, November 15 2015: The 24 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised a lecture on "Swachh Bharat Abhiyan" at Ril Ram Centre Village on November 13.In a statement PRO HQ IGAR (S) said that poor sanitation state and ignorance about health and hygiene are the root cause of alarming situation in the health arena across the country which is also the necessity of life.

Sensing the importance of the subject, Assam Rifles has been tirelessly promoting the cleanliness drive.

In the lecture was emphasis to maintain a clean atmosphere and adverse effect of littering and spitting were highlighted in local language to make them understand better.

The programme was attended by 65 villagers.
