Protesters rushed to RK Anand's residence

Imphal, July 14 2015 : People of Konjeng Leimapokpam Leikai and Ningthoukhongjam Leikai on Tuesday launched a mass rally from Konjeng Ningthoukhongjam Leikai Club and at the end rushed to the residence of RK Anand,MLA of Naoriya Pakhanglakpa.

Konjeng Leimapokpam Leikai Meira Paibi Secretary, Hijam Manileima said that the rally was organised to demand for implementation of ILP.

Demanding to take early action against the police personnel who are involved in the killing of Sapam Robinhood they asked the state representatives who are against the indigenous communities of Manipur to resign immediately.

The protesters rushed to RK Anand's residence but met his brother instead, as the MLA was not available.

Later, the MLA over the phone gave assurances to do his best in the July 15 emergency Assembly meeting.
