Imphal, October 13 2012: The 38 Assam Rifles of 27 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of "Red Shield Division" conducted a Medical Camp at Toulbung and Damdei villages under Thanlon Sub Division in Churachandpur District today.

According to a statement issued by PRO Assam Rifles, these villages are located in remote and far flung areas where basic medical facilities are lacking.

Apart from the medical checkup and free medicines, the villagers were also educated on basic hygiene and other related issues.

The Medical Camp received an overwhelming response from the locals including surrounding villages, the statement added.
