Imphal, December 11 2013: Denouncing bomb threat allegedly served to Ward No 8 Councillor Kangabam Tiken yesterday morning, Councillors and personnel of Imphal Municipal Council today staged sit-in-demonstration in front of the IMC office.

According to Ward No 16 Councillor N Subashchandra, unknown persons placed a bomb at the Kangabam Leikai residence of Tiken yesterday.

Conceding that similar threats to IMC councillors from certain quarters in the past were settled amicably, he strongly condemned attempt to trigger blast at residential areas.

Pointing out that IMC has limited fund, the councillor also appealed to all concerned to abstain from any activities that could hamper implementation of welfare projects for the masses.
