Imphal, March 11 2015: Students of Imphal College today set afire several furniture items of the college demanding an amicable settlement be brought to the standoff between college teachers and the Govt and resumption of normal classes.

Personnel of Manipur Fire Service doused the fire later.

Imphal West district police apprehended the agitating students.

The students also raised several slogans during their demonstration today.

A student protester said that they will launch different forms of agitation including closing down of the administrative block of the college if the impasse is not solved by March 15 .
