Imphal, July 10 2014: A month long training programme on Food Processing Industries for Imphal West District organized by Directorate of Commerce & Industries, Government of Manipur ended at the training hall of Food Processing Unit, Porompat, Imphal East district today.

The concluding function was graced by T Rajen Singh, General Manager of DIC Imphal West as Chief Guest while S Joykumar Singh, Deputy Director of Industries (FPI) and M Tomjao Singh, president of ATST (I), Manipur Chapter as Guests of Honor.

Speaking at the function, T Rajen exhorted the trainees to set up food processing units of their own by applying the knowledge and techniques which they have learned from the training programme as this will not only provide livelihood of them but it will also facilitate economy of the State.

At the end of the programme, certificate and stipend were distributed to 29 trainees who took part in the training programme successfully.
