Imphal, February 10 2016: District Legal Services Authority, Thoubal and Manipur Women Foundation jointly conducted a one-day legal awareness programme at Yairipokpi Chandrakhong Sawang Lai community hall today, our correspondent reports.

Thoubal Zilla JMIC and Civil Judge Junior Division, Lamkholal Kipgen, 4-Wangkhem Zilla Parishad member Kh Sobha Meitei and Leirongthel Ningel Gram Panchayat ward no 9 member H Nolini Devi attended the pro- gramme as chief guests, president and guest of honour respectively.

Resource persons Advocate Kh Arunjoy and Md Zakir Hussain elaborated on 'Crime against women' and 'Mob justice and role of public in crime' respectively.

Over 100 people participated in the one day awareness programme.
