Imphal, January 02 2014: A Chinese hand grenade was found planted at the residential gate of Huidrom ongbi Chandrakala Devi, who is the Pradhan of Wangbal Gram Panchayat, Thoubal district at Uyal this morning.

Reports said that the bomb which was kept concealed inside a plastic bag, was found by the Pradhan's little sister in the morning when she opened the gate.

On hearing the news, a team of Thoubal Police along with bomb squad rushed in and retrieved the bomb.

Later, it was detonated exploded near the Thoubal Canal around 10.50 am.
