Elderly man dies in accident

Imphal, August 31 2015: An 81-year-old man succumbed on Sunday night around 7.30 at Shija Hospital after he was hit by a two wheeler the same morning.

The deceased has been identified as Konthoujam Lukhoi s/o K Patchamani of Luker Mayai Leikai under Patsoi Police Station.

It has been reported that Lukhoi was hit by a Honda Access scooter at Luker Mayai Leikai while he was returning from a nearby shop.

Lukhoi was immediately rushed to Langol Shija Hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

Police have registered a case and recovered the two-wheeler involved in the mishap.
