Church leaders concerned over conflict

Manipur Baptist Convention (MBC) and Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) organized a joint meeting of church leaders at NBCC HQ office, Kohima and shared urgent concern about the conflict between SAPO and Mao Council that is deteriorating.
In a press release jointly signed and issued by MBC General Secretary Rev Dr W Konghar and NBCC General Secretary Rev Dr Zelhou Keyho said that MBC and NBCC are issuing a joint call to both the parties in the conflict not to exacerbate the crisis in any manner so that violence and bloodshed may be prevented at all cost.
The two parent bodies of Baptist Churches in Manipur and Nagaland formed a joint peace committee to pursue the search for peace and understanding, the statement added.
