Imphal, January 31 2016: The 2 Assam Rifles of Sector 9 under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) conducted a free medical camp today at Kaibang village in Thoubal district.

The medical team led by Commandant 2 AR and compris- ing of one Medical Officer and two nursing assistants provided medical assistance to the people requiring medical help.

A total of 600 patients including men, women and children were treated and provided with free medicines during the medical camp.

A lecture on "Good Health and Hygiene" was also conducted by the Medical Officer.

At the culmination of medical camp, the local populace expressed their deep gratitude to the AR and applauded them for their kind efforts in helping the people residing in remote villages, said a press release issued by PRO HQ IGAR (S) .
