Imphal, July 30 2015: EECHAL B'day
Ereipak Enaat Chanura Loinsinlon (EECHAL) will celebrate its 10th foundation day on Aug 1 at Lamyanba Shanglen, Konung Mamang with the theme 'Protection of Indigenous People and Mass Movement in Manipur' .

Extending invitation to all concerned, EECHAL, in a statement appealed to all concerned not to call/to relax bandh, strike or impose curfew on the day.

PC appeals
The Public Club, Khurai (Top) Khongnangmakhong has urged all concerned to ensure that student transport vehicle owners and school authorities do not collect fees from students for the ILPS agitation period.

In a statement, the Public Club urged all concerned civil organisations to mount pressure towards this end on the authorities concerned.

Free eye screening camp held
A free eye screening and subsidised surgery camp was today held at Thambalkhong Sabal Leikai, Community hall.

The camp was jointly organised by the Shija Eye Care Foundation and Thambalkhong Mahila Mandal and ASHA.

Various eye related problems were treated.

In the camp altogether 72 eye patients received treatments.

NSCN/GPRN has welcomed 23 comrades who had stayed astray and now decided to join the revolutionary mainstream.

A statement issued by the MIP of NSCN expressed appreciation of the right decision taken by the 23 comrades today.

Curfew relaxation
Curfew in Imphal East and Imphal West districts will be relaxed from 5 am to 8 pm tomorrow (July 31).However, there would be prohibition on assembly of five or more persons and carrying sticks, stones, firearms and weapons of any description or objects which can be used as offensive weapon under Section 144 of CrPC, said separate orders issued by the District Magistrates of the two districts.

FGN informs public
As per the decision taken by the regional executive meeting held on July 4 and 7, Federal Government of Nagaland, Zeliangrong region has dropped finance secretary Joyson Khapur, finance assistant Henry (Digun) Tatar and Leacy Hoho secretary Jianchui from their respective portfolios for violating the region government directive.
