CNPO sets August 4 deadline for justice

Chandel, July 27 2013 : Following a meeting today held in connection with the brutal killing of DK James Moshilpha Maring on July 3, Chandel Naga People's Organization has come out with a charter of demands.

The Charter of demands urged the government to identify the killer (s) and punished them in accordance to the law of the land, provide a suitable Govt job to the surviving next of kin of the deceased, payment of compensation to the bereaved family as per the customary law of Maring Naga Tribe and shifting of the crime investigating authority to the court of the SP Chandel instead of Thoubal.

CNPO has made it clear that it would be compelled to launch a series of agitation from August 4 onwards, if the Govt.fails to fulfill its demands before that.
