Imphal, November 26 2013: 41 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) provided two Solar Street Lights to Khalhang Khullen village, Ukhrul district (Manipur) as part of Op Sadbhavana.

Informing this in a statement, PRO IGAR (S) hoped that the project will facilitate lighting of streets in the remote village.

The Solar Street Lights were handed over By Maj Gen Rajeev Chopra, IG AR (South) to the villagers on 25 Nov 2013 in a ceremony organised at Kharasom village.

The village headman and civil administration expressed their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Assam Rifles for this kind gesture, the statement added.
