Imphal, August 19 2015: The proscribed RPF has condoled the demise of Sgt Maj Ranbir (Moirangthem Khoibi) s/o late M Chandra and M (O) Thouranisabi of Arapti Lilong Mapan who was in charge of the outfit's District Revenue Unit-3, Finance Department.

According to a press release issued by the outfit's department of publicity chief Bangkim, Ranbir succumbed to an illness at around 12 noon of August 8 .

Sgt Maj Ranbir started working in the party's finance department since 1989 while he was still staying at home.

He was arrested by police in December 1991 and was imprisoned till June 1992 .

He re-joined the party in June 2005 and he worked in Division-4, Unit-8 till 2007 .

He completed basic military training in June 2007 .

Sgt Maj Ranbir was a well-disciplined 'freedom fighter' and dedicated his life for the party and the masses.

Condolence service in honour of the departed soul has been conducted at all units, departments and stations of the party.

The outfit also conveyed solidarity to the bereaved family, relatives and friends.
