Senapati, December 18 2015 : Drawing the attention of the State Government and its elected members, the Senapati District Students' Association (SDSA) has demanded immediate improvement of NH-2 .

A statement issued by the student body observed that at the time of initial work executing period, contractors/implementing agencies do not stick to the prescribed specifications and hence poor quality were exposed.

Again, during the final repairing work, it is mere 'cosmetic work' that is carried out haphazardly, so that it enables the contractor to withdraw the final bill.

This insensitivity of the PWD-highway division department and its officials, is too glaring to ignore, it added.
