Imphal, July 18 2014 : The Tangkhul Scholars' Association (TSA) has in a press release expressed their deepest sadness and serious concern at the barbaric assassination of Mr.Nagalangzar Malue, Ex-Vice Chairman of ADC Ukhrul on July 12 last on the way to his home to visit his aged ailing mother.

TSA does not believe solution to any problem through violence and bloodshed.

Therefore, TSA condemns assassination of Mr.Ngalangzar in its strongest possible terms and urges all concerned to desist from such act in the future.

The Tangkhul Scholars' Association also expresses it serious concern at the Government of Manipur's (GOM) action of sending host of Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB) and Commandos to Ukhrul town which vitiates communal disharmony in the state besides, bringing a sense of fear and insecurity to innocent and peace loving public.

TSA urged the GOM to restrain and be more sensitive and mature in dealing with such issues, it added.
