Imphal, August 16 2013 : President's Correctional Service Medal for Meritorious Service were awarded to 3 (three) jail personnel of Manipur Central Jail on the occasion of Independence Day.

According to a release by I K Muivah, Senior Superintendent of Manipur Central Jail, SK Bhadrika, Assistant Jailor; Konthoujam Shashikumar Singh, Head Warden and Nengkhoting Haokip, Female Warden have been awarded the prestigious award for their outstanding devotion to duty and correctional measures taken in the jail department.

They were among 38 all India Correctional Service Medal awardees honoured on the occasion of the 67th Independence Day, 2013 celebration, Muivah added.
